Contour Airlines will launch new nonstop flights between Dominica and Trinidad and Tobago in October, creating a new direct travel option between the two Caribbean destinations.
The service between Douglas-Charles Airport in Dominica and Piarco International Airport in Port of Spain will begin on Oct. 5, 2026, and operate twice weekly.
The airline said the new route will improve regional connectivity and make travel easier for passengers traveling for business, family visits and leisure.
Contour Airlines President Ben Munson said the expansion reflects the carrier’s continued growth across the Caribbean.
"This route enhances connectivity within the Eastern Caribbean, making travel easier for residents, businesses, and visitors alike," Munson said.
"Whether for work, family, or leisure, passengers will enjoy a fast, comfortable, and reliable travel option, while also helping to strengthen the economic and tourism ties between these two dynamic destinations."
Dominica Tourism Minister Denise Charles-Pemberton welcomed the new service, saying it will provide visitors with a more convenient travel option to the island.
"This direct flight service to Trinidad enhances the visitor experience by offering greater convenience, speed, and reliability," she said.
"Trinidad is a very important market for Dominica’s tourism sector. We are particularly excited about the great appeal this route holds for nature lovers and festivalgoers in Trinidad."
Contour Airlines will also introduce a one-stop, same-aircraft service connecting San Juan, Puerto Rico, and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, with Port of Spain. Passengers will remain on the same aircraft during the stop.
The airline said the flights will be operated using 30-seat regional aircraft featuring additional legroom, complimentary snacks and onboard service.
The new Dominica-Trinidad route is part of Contour Airlines’ broader Caribbean expansion, which also includes planned nonstop service between St. Thomas and St. Maarten.
