LALAUDERDALE LAKES, Fl — The Broward County League of Cities, Inc. appoints Lauderdale Lakes Commissioner Beverly Williams as 2nd Vice President of the 2019-2020 year and the Florida League of Cities has also appointed her to serve as a member of the Nominating Committee of the Florida League of Cities.

The ultimate success of these efforts is related to the level of involvement of the membership in providing leadership on issues of local, regional, state and national concern .  As stated in the appointment letters from the Broward of Cities and the Florida League, they are pleased to have Commissioner Williams serve in this capacity.

The Broward League of Cities  and the Florida League of Cities are non-partisan, non-profit organizations dedicated to raising awareness and resolving issues facing cities and municipalities. Membership is made up of elected officials from municipal governments and area businesses.  Members focus on identifying and resolving problems affecting day-to-day municipal operations including county, state and federal legislation. Dedicated committees conduct research and recommend policies affecting education, housing, economic concerns and municipal services.

Commissioner Williams will work with other committee members to discuss the many issues facing our cities that will come before the Legislature during the 2019-2020 Session and decide upon a policy direction for the Broward County League of Cities’ legislative efforts on the county and state levels.
