She noted that the service will significantly enhance the local tourist industry, creating new jobs and opportunities for businesses, further solidifying Guyana’s reputation as a premier tourist destination.
With these new flights, travelers from Guyana will gain access to over 140 routes across the Americas and Europe, including major U.S. cities and key destinations in South and Central America, as well as Spain, France, and the United Kingdom.
This year, Cheddi Jagan International Airport has already seen an addition of 200,000 airline seats and an increase of 125,000 passenger movements, highlighting the growing connectivity and appeal of Guyana as a travel destination.
