Cocaine seized following discovery at Sangster International Airport

The Jamaican Narcotics police are investigating another high-value cocaine seizure at Sangster International Airport in St. James. 

Seven kilograms of cocaine seized

The authorities have disclosed that a staggering seven kilograms of cocaine, boasting a street value estimated at US$210,000 or J$32 million, were confiscated at the airport on Monday. 

Coordinated operation unveils hidden contraband

Reports indicate that the operation unfolded at approximately 5:30 p.m., as members of the Narcotics Interdiction Team collaborated with the Jamaica Customs Contraband Enforcement team to conduct a thorough search of a restroom located within the airport’s main terminal building.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
