President of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), Sanovnik Destang, has become the first Caribbean hotelier to receive the Outstanding Hotelier Award, jointly presented by the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) and the National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators & Developers (NABHOOD).
The distinguished award recognizes hospitality leaders who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and a strong commitment to empowering communities and expanding opportunities within the industry.
“Recipients demonstrate vision, dedication, and the ability to elevate hotel performance and community impact,” the CHTA said in a statement, noting that the award will be formally presented on July 23 during the Hilton Awards Luncheon, part of the 29th Annual International African American Hotel Ownership & Investment Summit & Trade Show.
