Chinese coaches leave Jamaica after one-month stint

Nine Chinese coaches and officials were recently in the island for a one-month training session as part of a three-year technical agreement between Jamaica and China.

The Chinese, who left the island on Thursday, conducted training sessions and coaching seminars, with seven sporting bodies, gymnastics, basketball, badminton, volleyball, synchronized swimming, football and swimming.

With phase one completed, phase two is set to begin in July with a group of 138 persons, including athletes and coaches leaving Jamaica for China for one month.

Meanwhile, president of Jamaica Gymnastics Association, Nicole Grant-Brown is elated that a major part of the agreement is providing up-to-date and modern equipment for all the sports involved under the agreement.
