Car crash claims lives of Jamaican cop

A Jamaican police corporal and another man died while the male driver of the opposing vehicle was hospitalized following a devastating incident on the Richmond main road in St. Ann.

The deceased cop was attached to the St Ann Police Division.

According to reports, the crash occurred around 8 o'clock Sunday night.

Fatal encounter on the road

According to CCU, the officer and a male passenger were traveling along the roadway when the driver of a Toyota Axio car in the opposite direction lost control and crashed into the vehicle.

All three persons sustained injuries and were taken to hospital where the cop and the passenger died. 

The other driver was admitted.
