New twice weekly flights from Toronto

Canada Jetlines will operate the Toronto to Montego Bay route with an initial frequency of twice weekly (Saturday and Sunday), providing passengers with convenient options to explore the tropical paradise, it said in a statement.

It added that the airline expects to add a third weekly flight starting in 2024.

"With its vibrant culture, warm hospitality and picturesque landscapes, Jamaica is a destination that captivates the heart and soul. This is the second inaugural flight to be launched to Jamaica since the start of the month. On December 1, Norse Atlantic Airways launched its first flight from the United Kingdom to Montego Bay.

A second Canadian airline, Flair, will introduce nonstop flights between Toronto, Canada, and Kingston, Jamaica, commencing on December 16.

With an influx of nonstop flights to the island, a record 1.05 million airline seats have been secured from nearly six thousand flights coming into Jamaica out of the United States, during the upcoming winter season.
