BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 has been postponed from October 18 to December 20, with organizers offering refunds and complimentary tickets to some patrons following the cancellation of American rapper Cardi B as the event’s headliner.

In a statement issued Tuesday, organizers apologized for the change and said patrons who no longer wished to attend the rescheduled event could request refunds. Those who had booked travel or accommodation specifically to attend the festival will also be eligible for a complimentary ticket, provided they submit proof of their original ticket purchase and travel or accommodation bookings.

The complimentary ticket will be of equal or lesser value than the ticket originally purchased.

Refund requests can be submitted by emailing eventsteamjamaica@kanoopays.com. Patrons must provide their full name, ticket purchase confirmation, order or transaction reference number, and the email address used to purchase their tickets.

The postponement follows Cardi B’s announcement on October 8 that she would no longer perform at the event. In a subsequent video, the rapper maintained that she was not responsible for the cancellation.

In an earlier statement, BZR WKND organizers said they had fulfilled their financial and contractual obligations and made every effort to deliver the event as planned. They also extended condolences to Cardi B and her family following the death of a loved one.

Acknowledging the disappointment among patrons who had already purchased tickets and made travel arrangements, the organizers encouraged them to hold on to their tickets for the new date.

“We would love for you to hold on to your ticket for our rescheduled date, December 20, 2026, as we have something truly special and a star-studded experience in store for you,” the refund notice said.

Organizers have promised a larger entertainment offering for the December staging, insisting that the festival’s vision extends beyond a single performer.

“Our vision has always been bigger than one artiste,” they said in their earlier statement, adding that the event aims to bring international entertainment, music and culture to Jamaica.

A press conference is expected to be held later this week to address questions surrounding the postponement and provide further details about the rescheduled event.

All tickets purchased for the original October 18 date will remain valid for December 20. Organizers said further updates would be shared through the event’s official channels.
