Bunny Shaw breaks hat-trick record as Man City crush Spurs 4-0

Manchester City Women’s striker Khadija “Bunny” Shaw made history in England’s Barclays Women’s Super League on Friday, setting a new record for the most hat-tricks against a single opponent.

Shaw’s trio of goals propelled City to a commanding 4-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 10,000 fans at the Etihad Stadium.

The Jamaican-born forward wasted no time making her mark, scoring just 21 seconds after kickoff. Shaw doubled Manchester City’s lead within the first 15 minutes, seizing early control for her team. She completed her hat-trick midway through the second half, cementing her place in league history as the first player to score three hat-tricks against the same opponent in the Women’s Super League.

City’s Jill Roord capped off the night with a fourth goal, adding to the team’s relentless momentum this season. Manchester City Women remain unbeaten in their last 11 matches across all competitions in the 2024/25 season, a testament to their form and dominance.
