Buju Banton becomes first reggae artist to headline concert at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas

Reggae icon Buju Banton is set to break new ground this summer as the first reggae artist to headline at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

The Grammy-winning Jamaican superstar will take the stage at PH Live on June 7, 2025, marking a major milestone for both his career and the global reggae movement. Fans on the West Coast will also have the opportunity to experience his electrifying performance in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium on June 5, 2025.

Banton’s historic performance at Planet Hollywood highlights reggae’s expanding reach and lasting influence. Known for his powerful voice, socially conscious lyrics, and magnetic stage presence, he continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

“This is more than just a concert; it’s a celebration of reggae music on one of the world’s biggest stages,” Banton said in a statement. “Las Vegas, get ready for something special.”

This announcement follows his Overcomer Tour in 2024, which included a series of performances across the United States. Notably, Banton made history with a sold-out show at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on November 17, 2024, becoming the first solo reggae artist to sell out the 19,000-capacity venue.

Buju’s Overcomer Tour continued into 2025, with stops in Jamaica, St. Thomas, and St. Croix.

With a career spanning over three decades, Buju Banton has delivered some of reggae and dancehall’s most enduring anthems, from "Champion" and "Untold Stories" to his more recent work on the critically acclaimed album “Born for Greatness.”

Fans can expect a dynamic setlist featuring both classic hits and fresh tracks, all infused with Banton’s signature energy and passion.
