While COVID-19 cases continue to climb in South Florida, Broward County has decided to keep current establishments open under new rules.
Under the new emergency order, which takes effect on July 10, there should be no more than six people at a table when dining at restaurants, and dine-in service must end at 10 p.m. to 5a.m. daily. Take out, delivery, drive-through or pick up service will still be permitted.
Vacation rentals will also be limited to the people who signed up to be there. No guests, and no more than 10 people allowed.
As for gyms, all machines and equipment must be rearranged and/or
closed for use to ensure at least 6 feet of distance between patrons using them. Only 50% capacity is allowed and social distancing guidelines provided by the CDC shall be adhered to at all times.
The order states that all businesses that violate local emergency orders will be forced to close for 24 hours after their first citation, with each subsequent citation incurring an additional 72 hours of closure.
