The Broward County CARES Act Small Business and Non-Profit Grant Application deadline has been extended until December 2nd.

Additionally, changes have been made to the eligibility criteria to help more businesses. Changes include:

  • Business Revenue increase from $1.5M to $2M

They have also expanded the eligibility criteria to now include other businesses, who have previously received support from the Federal PPP/EIDL or State Bridge Loan up to $100K, instead of the initial $15K eligibility limitation. This will support businesses who are in need now, due to spending the funds they received back in July, August or September.

Applicants are being encouraged to review the application process, and what to do BEFORE they apply. Note that these grants will not have to be paid back.

As previously announced there are some businesses with zip codes from Lauderhill, Hollywood, Pompano Beach and the wider Fort Lauderdale that will be given priority for grants.

Please visit the website to read all the eligibility criteria and instructions. Free Technical Assistance is also available and can be scheduled on the website.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you previously applied and were deemed ineligible, but you are now eligible due to the eligibility criteria changes, you can reapply - a new Access Broward Account using a new email address will be required.
