While canvassing the area, deputies observed an individual matching the suspect’s description running approximately two blocks north of the scene. The suspect surrendered without incident and was taken into custody.

The female victim succumbed to her injuries, while the male victim is expected to survive.

  • One count of First-Degree Murder (Florida Statute 782.04(1)(a)1)

  • One count of Attempted First-Degree Murder (Florida Statute 782.04(1)(a)1)

Further details, including the names of the victims and the suspect, will be released pending next-of-kin notification and formal processing.
