Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) clinched the top spot in the destination category at the esteemed Routes Americas Awards, held in Bogota, Colombia, on March 20, 2024. 

This prestigious accolade solidifies Barbados’ position as the premier destination for route development and marketing support strategies across the Americas.

The Routes Americas Awards spotlight the exceptional accomplishments of the air service development community, highlighting the collaborative efforts among airlines, airports, and the destinations they serve.

Minister Gooding-Edghill applauds success

Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Ian Gooding-Edghill, lauded the victory, affirming Barbados’ status as a frontrunner in the Americas. 

He emphasized the confidence that airline partners have in the destination, citing the award as a testament to the successful partnerships and achievements in enhancing Barbados’ appeal.

Similarly, Peter Mayers, Director of BTMI USA, reiterated their commitment to advancing network development plans and pledged unwavering support to partners for mutual success.
