Notably, Nicolo Zaniolo featured in the match, playing for 76 minutes despite being embroiled in a betting investigation in his home country of Italy. Villa confirmed that Zaniolo is cooperating with the Italian Football Federation and relevant authorities in their probe into alleged illegal betting activity.
