In a groundbreaking achievement for Antigua and Barbuda, Tiger Tyson has officially qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris, marking the nation’s debut in the sport of kiteboarding at this prestigious level.

Silver success at the Pan American Games

Tyson’s journey to securing his Olympic spot was solidified with a sterling performance at the 2023 Pan American Games, where he clinched a silver medal. 

At just 21 years of age, Tyson has demonstrated remarkable consistency, consistently placing within the top three across 16 intense races, setting the stage for his ultimate success.

The culmination of Tyson's effort was a closely contested final, where he sailed into second place, following Brazil’s Bruno Lobo. This pivotal race not only earned him the silver medal but also the much-coveted ticket to the 2024 Olympic Games.
