Another US tourist dies while snorkeling in the Bahamas

A  61-year-old American tourist died while snorkeling in Castaway Cay, Abaco, in the Bahamas. 

The tragic event marks the fourth cruise ship passenger to pass away suddenly in Bahamian waters this month.

Details of the incident

Reports are that the man, a resident of Warminster, Pennsylvania, embarked on a snorkeling adventure when he encountered breathing difficulties.

Despite the administration of CPR by lifeguards, the man remained unresponsive.

It is further reported that he was taken to the cruise ship, where the ship’s doctor examined him and pronounced him dead.

Authorities have said that an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
