BROWARD RALLY FOR ABORTION ACCESS PLANNED FOR TODAY, TUESDAY MAY 21 5PM-7PM

LAUDERDALE - Today, on a national day of action to protest the onslaught of abortion bans being passed across the country, Broward residents are set to rally outside the Federal Courthouse in a show of solidarity and strength to demand an end to these dangerous bans, and that abortion be legal, safe and accessible for everyone, regardless of income, age, race, gender identity or immigration status.

According to a statement released by activists: "Across the country, we are seeing a new wave of extreme bans on abortion, stripping away reproductive freedom and representing an all-out assault on abortion access. This is Trump’s anti-choice movement… and it’s terrifying, particularly for women of color and low-income women who are most affected by these bans."

"In an environment that is becoming violently hostile towards reproductive rights, we rally to remind the public that abortion is healthcare concerning the patient and her doctor, and that criminalizing abortion does not prevent it, it only hurts and kills women."
