Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick launches ‘Fight Back Tour’ across South Florida

Haitian-American Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) is hitting the road with her Fight Back Tour, a bold district-wide initiative aimed at uplifting families, confronting local challenges, and giving South Floridians a stronger voice in Washington.

Part of her broader 100 Stops Tour, the congresswoman has already spent the past few months visiting community centers, schools, small businesses, churches, and neighborhood events across the district. At each stop, she’s been listening directly to residents’ concerns and pledging to take their voices back to the nation’s capital.

“Families are facing so much right now—from skyrocketing housing costs and health care challenges to attacks on civil rights and economic opportunity,” said Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick. “This tour is about fighting back together. We’re meeting people where they are and standing up for what matters most.”

The Fight Back Tour doubles as a listening campaign and a public awareness drive. It aims to connect residents with federal resources, while spotlighting core issues such as affordable housing, reproductive rights, immigration reform, climate resilience, and economic justice. The congresswoman is especially focused on reaching communities often overlooked in policymaking conversations.

With more than 100 stops planned throughout the region, Cherfilus-McCormick is emphasizing urgency and collective action.

“We don’t have time to sit back. Our rights, our families, and our future are on the line,” she said. “This is more than a tour—it’s a movement. And we’re not done yet.”

To track the congresswoman’s next stops and get involved, residents can follow her on social media and join the conversation using the hashtag #FightBack.
