As part of a countywide Occupant Protection Enforcement initiative, deputies will be out in full force conducting high-visibility, zero-tolerance enforcement of Florida State Statutes concerning seat belt use and child safety restraints.

The campaign isn’t just about enforcement; it’s also focused on educating the public. PBSO aims to raise awareness about the dangers of not wearing a seatbelt or improperly securing a child in a car seat. Their message is clear: buckling up can save lives.

Key areas of enforcement will be the major roadways throughout Palm Beach County. So if you’re traveling through the area, make sure you’re strapped in.

The operation will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, so drivers are urged to stay vigilant and ensure they and their passengers are properly restrained at all times.
