Founded and led by a team of young Jamaican entrepreneurs, Connex Air Carrier is positioning itself as a “game-changer” in the regional cargo space. With weekly guaranteed flights, the Miami-based airline pledges faster, more secure, and technologically advanced services designed to support small businesses and strengthen trade links between the U.S. and the Caribbean.

“This is more than just a business—it’s a movement,” said Connex Chairman Luke Hamilton. “Connex was created to empower Jamaica and Caribbean commerce, support small businesses, and deliver the reliability the market has been demanding for decades.”

The launch was hailed as a landmark achievement for Brand Jamaica, underscoring the innovation and global reach of the nation’s entrepreneurs. Among those present was R. Oliver Mair, Jamaica’s Consul General in Miami, who praised the initiative.

“Today we witness not just cargo in the sky, but a vision for economic mobility,” Mair said. “Connex carries the spirit of Brand Jamaica across borders—this is a proud moment for us all.”

Smarter cargo solutions

Connex aims to distinguish itself with flexible services tailored for modern trade, including:

  • Guaranteed weekly lift space from Miami to Kingston, with on-demand options.
  • Cold chain-ready logistics for medical supplies, food, and other perishables.
  • AI-powered booking and real-time tracking.
  • Competitive pricing and scalable logistics infrastructure.
  • Certified, secure handlers in both Miami and Kingston.
  • The service is designed to meet the needs of e-commerce companies, medical distributors, auto parts and tech exporters, manufacturers, and retailers seeking reliable and cost-effective freight solutions.

Connex has set its sights on expanding to other Caribbean and Latin American markets while building stronger export pathways for Jamaican small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the diaspora.

“Connex’s goal is simple—build a logistics ecosystem that uplifts our dynamic country, Jamaica land we love, and the Caribbean region,” said Natalie St. Louis, Strategic Corporate Consultant, who represented Jamaica at the launch. “Connex isn’t just flying cargo. Connex is flying the flag of Jamaica—with pride, purpose, and precision.”

With its launch, Connex Air Carrier signals a new era of Caribbean-led innovation in global logistics, combining entrepreneurial spirit, cultural pride, and forward-looking technology.
