Jamaican cop found dead at home, suspected suicide

The body of a Jamaican policeman was found with a gunshot wound inside his house at the Llanndilo Housing Scheme in Westmoreland on Wednesday morning.

He has been identified as Horace McDermott and is suspected to have committed suicide as investigators believe the wound was self-inflicted.

McDermott was attached to the Frome Police Station in the parish.
