A 29-year-old American man, Joshua Logan, was ordered to pay a fine of $350,000 or face 30 days in prison after being found with 15 rounds of ammunition at Sangster International Airport in St. James. The incident occurred on Friday around 11:00 a.m. during routine security screenings of outgoing passengers, when Logan was called for a search.
The ammunition was discovered during a physical inspection of his black travel bag. Logan was arrested and charged with unauthorized possession of ammunition. He appeared in the St. James Parish Court the same day and pleaded guilty to the charge.
