The Office of the Prime Minister in the Bahamas has issued a strong statement refuting claims made in a viral YouTube video titled “The Diplomatic Bombshell,” which alleges that the Bahamian government has condemned U.S. President Donald Trump’s foreign and migration policies.
According to the statement, the video — which has already garnered more than 30,000 views — is “false, misleading, and entirely fabricated.” The government says the footage does not reflect any real events, statements, or diplomatic actions undertaken by The Bahamas.
The video claims, among other things, that the Bahamian government formally rejected a Trump proposal to establish a biometric preclearance facility in Nassau and that it filed a complaint with the United Nations Security Council in response to Trump’s executive orders. The headline of the video is: “Donald Trump Just Got Embarrassed by the Bahamas.”
The Office of the Prime Minister categorically denied all such claims.
“The content is artificially generated using AI tools, and the characters and scenarios portrayed are not based on actual occurrences,” the statement read. “It is a synthetic production that falsely claims to reflect official diplomatic positions and misrepresents both Bahamian and international affairs.”
Officials are urging both the public and media outlets to exercise caution and verify any sensitive information through trusted government platforms. “For verified updates, please refer to official government platforms,” the statement concluded.
