Jamaica’s Ministry of Health and Wellness has announced a temporary adjustment in the operations of the Jamaica/Cuba Eye Care Clinic, situated at St Joseph Hospital in St Andrew.
This alteration, scheduled for today and tomorrow, entails a scaling down of activities, with the clinic’s team exclusively attending to pre-operative and post-operative patients during this period.
Prioritizing patient care
The rationale behind this decision, according to the ministry, is to ensure that pre-operative and post-operative patients receive optimal care and attention.
By focusing on these specific patient groups, the clinic aims to uphold the highest standards of care and support for individuals undergoing eye surgeries.
Rescheduling and guidance
First-time patients are advised that no consultations will be conducted until Monday, May 6.
Those who have appointments scheduled for these dates are urged to reach out to the clinic promptly to reschedule their appointments or seek guidance on alternative arrangements.
Commitment to patient needs
Despite the temporary adjustment in its schedule, the Jamaica/Cuba Eye Clinic remains steadfast in its commitment to accommodating patients and ensuring that their needs are adequately addressed.
This measure is undertaken to ensure that patients undergoing eye surgeries continue to receive the necessary care and support during this period of limited operation.
