Jamaican reggae singer Protoje is taking his message and music to the world once again with an international summer tour that will span continents, carry him through some of the genre’s most prestigious festivals, and affirm his place as a leading voice in contemporary reggae.
The two-time Grammy-nominated artist, known for his thought-provoking lyrics and genre-blending sound, kicks off his global trek this week, riding high from a standout COLORS x STUDIOS performance of his single Big 45. That track, which fuses militant energy with melodic depth, recently climbed to the top of Jamaica’s YouTube music chart and has amassed over three million views since its video release, a reminder of Protoje’s consistent ability to connect with fans both lyrically and visually.
From the hills of Montego Bay to the deserts of Spain, Protoje’s summer itinerary reads like a reggae lover’s dream. Tour stops include Reggae Sumfest (Jamaica), Monegros Desert Festival (Spain), Levitate Music Festival (USA), Uppsala Reggae Festival (Sweden), Reggae Geel (Belgium), and Reggaeland (UK), among others. And the momentum won’t stop at summer’s end — Protoje’s tour extends well into 2026, with shows already booked across France, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

While preparing for tour, Protoje has since dropped a brand new single, Feel It — a smooth, soul-infused reggae jam produced by his Indiggnation Collective and longtime collaborator Winta James. The song explores romance and connection over a sultry, jazz-tinged rhythm, just in time for the season of long days and warm nights. The accompanying video, directed by Samo, offers a visual escape that matches the track’s breezy mood.
This sonic versatility is nothing new for Protoje. Since bursting onto the scene with his critically acclaimed debut Seven Year Itch in 2010, he’s carved a lane for himself as a torchbearer for modern reggae. His 2015 hit Who Knows featuring Chronixx catapulted him to international fame, and collaborations with artists like Koffee (Switch It Up), Lila Iké, and Jesse Royal have helped shape what many call the reggae revival movement.
In 2018, his album A Matter of Time earned him his first Grammy nomination, and he followed up with In Search of Lost Time in 2020, featuring heavy-hitting tracks like Like Royalty and Deliverance. As founder of the In.Digg.Nation Collective, Protoje has also been instrumental in nurturing emerging talent and redefining reggae’s global influence.
Now, with a slate of shows and a fresh wave of new music, Protoje is once again proving that reggae is not only timeless, it’s evolving.
