One Love soundtrack inspired by Bob Marley Movie wins Grammy for Best Reggae Album

The soundtrack for Bob Marley: One Love has won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday. The 10-track Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack features music from artists such as Bloody Civilian, Skip Marley, Daniel Caesar, Kacey Musgraves, Wizkid, Jessie Reyez, Leon Bridges, Farruko, Mystic Marley, and Shenseea.

The albums nominated for ‘Best Reggae Album’ at the 2025 Grammy Awards include: Take It Easy by Collie Buddz, Party With Me by Vybz Kartel, Never Gets Late Here by Shenseea, Bob Marley: One Love – Music Inspired by the Film (Deluxe) by Various Artists, and Evolution by The Wailers.

To celebrate the release of the movie, Island Records and Tuff Gong have launched Bob Marley: One Love (Music Inspired by the Film), a new album featuring contemporary artists covering Marley’s classic hits. According to Bobmarley.com, the Marley family was closely involved in selecting and approving all the tracks for the album, highlighting the long-standing six-decade relationship between Island Records, the Marley family, and Jamaica—an essential theme also reflected in the film.

This year, February 6 marks what would have been Marley’s 80th birthday

Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Olivia Grange, in a post on Instagram, congratulated the winners.

“Bob’s legacy continues. Congratulations to everyone involved in this project,” Minister Grange said.
