Shannon Green, national director of the Caribbean Pageant Inc, says the extra preparation time will ensure the event maintain its elegant appeal. “The presentation delivered on coronation night will surpass the original plans, the team has gone back to the drawing board.” According to Green, The organization seeks to not only showcase Mrs Universe Jamaica’s quintessential elegance, but also the resilience of their 2024 delegates.

Speaking on the ladies’ continued preparations, Green said, “[The 2024 delegates continue to move forward] with sensitivity and compassion, we acknowledge that at the end of this journey, each of them remains an ambassador of the brand. They must represent the heart of Jamaica and be the voice for humanity and its struggles.” The nine contestants continue to engage in their training but will undergo an assessment by a panel of pageant experts both in-person and virtually, to ensure their top performance, checking the boxes for confidence, emotional literacy, public speaking, walking and wardrobe.

Mrs Universe Jamaica teases surprises for the contestants and supporters of the organization for the 2024 staging. This year’s events will include an Education and Immigration Expo, free to the public, the day before coronation night on August 23 at the AC Hotel. Three additional titles will be announced for runners-up of the Mrs Universe Jamaica title as well. The titles in question have yet to be announced to the public, with Green teasing, “You’ll have to wait until the finals to enjoy these surprises, otherwise they wouldn’t be surprises.”

The pageant this year will be especially competitive. The nine finalists vying for the prestigious title of Mrs Universe Jamaica and the opportunity to compete internationally hail from diverse backgrounds across the island. Not only beautiful and honorable, they are intelligent and talented community leaders, championing pride in and change for their country and the world at large. Their platforms span child mental health and welfare, domestic abuse support, and empowerment for marginalized and at-risk groups, in line with the mission of the organization.

Mrs Universe Jamaica is dedicated to empowering, motivating, and inspiring women to realize their full potential. Their mission is to prioritize inner beauty and personal growth over external appearances by providing resources, support, and opportunities that enable women to build or enhance their careers and make a meaningful impact on society.
