Minna LaFortune

Known for her conscious lyrics and vibrant sound, LaFortune continues to push boundaries with Dance With Me Vol. 2. The album’s tracks span a diverse range of emotions and topics, from the powerful “Reggae Music is Love to Me”, a tribute to reggae’s unifying spirit, to “The Black Star Liner,” inspired by Marcus Garvey’s vision of liberation. The album also addresses pressing social issues, such as “Global Warming”, which focuses on climate change, and “Cease Fire”, which advocates for peace and an end to violence.

In addition to thought-provoking songs, the album includes feel-good tracks like “Baby Baby I Love You”, a love anthem, and “Weekend Vibes (Amapiano)”, an infectious party track that showcases LaFortune’s versatility. Some tracks, like “This is the Time for Me” and “Dance to the Afro Beat”, combine motivational messages with global rhythms, reinforcing the album’s fusion of reggae and world music influences.

“This album is a reflection of my journey as an artist and a person,” says Minna LaFortune. “It’s a mix of everything that inspires me, from social justice anthems to celebratory tunes that make you move. My goal is to uplift, educate, and spread love through music.”
