Dancehall artist Intence drops new project Sólo Chicas EP

Intence

Jamaican dancehall artist Intence has released his latest project, Sólo Chicas, via VP Records. The six-track EP, which arrived yesterday (Aug. 8), serves as a prelude to his highly anticipated debut album VOYAGE, due out October 3.

Tailored for a female audience, Sólo Chicas navigates themes of desire, heartbreak, and romantic tension. It builds on the momentum of Intence’s 2024 hit single SHH with a loose sequel, B.P.P.E., a high-energy party track celebrating women with the blunt confidence that has become a dancehall hallmark. The EP also features the breakup lament Missing You, the icy send-off Right Now, the melodic and infatuated Don’t It, and the raw closer Seduction.

Except for Seduction, produced by Dishawn “Speck” Spragg, the project was produced entirely by Nuh Brakes Recordz—Intence’s father and longtime collaborator. Music videos for B.P.P.E., Don’t It, and Missing You were also released alongside the EP.

The drop follows Intence’s performance at Alkaline’s New Rules Festival in Trelawny last month, part of a busy run of live shows. His recent work has earned praise from outlets including Billboard and REVOLT TV, which named him among the artists shaping dancehall’s next wave.

Sólo Chicas is now available on all major streaming platforms.
