The Merl Grove High School Past Students’ Association NY Chapter (MGHS PSA NY Chapter Inc) will host a Virtual Comedy Show Fundraiser live from New York on Saturday, January 30th, 2021 @ 8:00 PM.

The fundraiser will be a two-hour, live stream comedy showing designed to bring some levity into the lives of past students, friends and family. The event is sponsored by JA Money, Victoria Mutual and Tower Isle Patties.

The comedy event will bring live comedic performances into the homes of each ticket holder, with the stand-up comedy performance by two of Jamaica’s best comedians.

The show will be headlined by renowned comedian Owen “Blakka” Elis and feature rising comedian Diego the cross-eyed villain,  emceed by Sharon Gordon. The audience will be able to interact with the comedians during the set.

“We know this has been a challenging time for all for everyone worldwide, and we hope our upcoming comedy show with Blakka and Diego will bring laughter into your homes while helping to support the most vulnerable. The needs of students at Merl Grove haven’t stopped and neither has the NY Chapter,” said Sharon Wilson, the President of the MGHS PSA NY Chapter Inc.

Proceeds from the upcoming Virtual Comedy Show Fundraiser will be directed to fund the Chapter’s programs and projects. The focus will be on aiding the students during the COVID-19 lockdown.
