Alkaline’s ‘New Rules’ returns to Jamaica for major concert in July 2025

Dancehall heavyweight Alkaline has announced the highly anticipated return of his flagship concert series, New Rules, to Jamaican soil, setting the stage for a major homecoming on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Trelawny Stadium.

This marks the first local staging since the explosive 2022 edition at Kingston’s National Stadium.

The event is part of the New Rules 2025 tour, which kicks off in London on April 17 and moves to Canada on June 21 before heading home to Jamaica. The international rollout reflects Alkaline’s growing global footprint and the strong demand for his live performances in diaspora-heavy markets.

Launched as a platform to uplift and celebrate dancehall culture, New Rules has grown into a multi-city spectacle known for its top-tier production and electric performances. The return to Jamaica is both strategic and symbolic—bringing the movement back to where it all started and where Alkaline’s fanbase remains fiercest.

This year’s show is expected to feature a reimagined production, with organizers promising an upgraded concert experience. The lineup will blend heavyweight artists and rising talents in Jamaican music, with the full slate of performers to be announced in the coming weeks.

The move to Trelawny Stadium signals an expansion in scale and ambition, offering a venue better equipped to host the large crowds and complex staging that New Rules has become known for.
