Her inclusion places her among an elite group of honorees that includes Nobel Prize winners, U.S. Presidents, and pioneers in medicine, business, and the arts.

Christie is the Founder and CEO of Orion 360 Health, LLC, a U.S.-based health policy and strategy firm specializing in healthcare financing reform, reproductive health equity, and public narrative strategy. Her firm advises governments, organizations, and advocacy networks on navigating complex healthcare systems, expanding Medicaid access, and translating policy into practice—particularly for underserved populations.

She is widely recognized for co-leading Rhode Island’s landmark private insurance and Medicaid doula reimbursement mandate, the first of its kind in the United States. The groundbreaking legislation has transformed maternal health policy and positioned Rhode Island as a national model for birth equity. Christie’s policy expertise spans a wide range of areas, including Medicaid, prescription drug pricing reform, regulatory oversight, and rural healthcare access.

“As a Jamaican woman navigating U.S. health systems and power structures, I carry with me the cultural clarity, determination, and global lens that my family and this country gave me,” Christie said. “This recognition is not just about me: it’s about the many people, including those from small communities like mine, whose brilliance and life experiences deserve to help shape the systems that affect us all.”

Her leadership has helped shape legislation in several U.S. states—particularly in the South—addressing maternal mortality, reproductive care deserts, and hospital closures. Christie has also played a critical role in influencing federal reproductive and maternal health policy through her work with national coalitions and direct engagement with members of Congress, ensuring that the voices of impacted communities are included in national policymaking.

Through Orion 360 Health, Christie also provides executive coaching, strategic consulting, and communications support to mission-driven leaders, companies, and campaigns. Her insights have been featured in international outlets such as Forbes, MSN, BBC, Nasdaq, and the Polish Press Agency, further cementing her reputation as a leading Caribbean voice in global health policy.

Her accolades include being named one of Business Insider’s 30 Leaders Under 40 Changing Healthcare (2023), one of Becker’s Healthcare’s Black Healthcare Leaders to Know (2024), and a 2025 Woman to Watch by Black Leaders Worldwide. She was also named one of Women We Admire’s Top Women Leaders of 2025 and was nominated for the Health Advocate Award by Caribbean POSH magazine’s ICON Woman Awards.

Kavelle Christie earned a Master of Science in Global Health from the University of Manchester, a member of the UK’s elite Russell Group and ranked among the top 40 universities globally.

Her professional journey has made her one of the most respected Caribbean-born figures shaping healthcare reform in the U.S. today. Her induction into Marquis Who’s Who affirms her remarkable contributions to health policy and advocacy at the global level.
