Through her charity organization, Michelle’s Foundation, the New Jersey-based social worker and college professor will make her second visit to Guyana on July 2nd to host a special presentation at her alma mater, St Gabriel’s Primary School.

Dr. Gill, also known as MichelleG, is the owner and operator of Get With The Fix Radio, a syndicated radio station streaming digitally across several states. For 14 years, she has hosted an annual back-to-school drive in Orange, New Jersey, while also conducting charitable work in Jamaica on three occasions. This summer, her foundation will distribute 132 school bags to the graduating class at St Gabriel’s, helping students prepare for their first year of high school. The top 10 performing students will receive tablets, with additional tablets donated by 360 Vinyl Printing to children in need. Teachers at the school will also be honored with tokens of appreciation sponsored by local business Secure Innovations and Concepts. Two young girls who intervened to stop bullying will receive special gifts as well.

“Giving back to the children of Guyana and seeing their reaction to just me being there is always heartwarming. Donating to a worthy cause is gratifying and to see it up close is the best feeling ever. I hope by doing this, it motivates others to do the same for these children back home,” said Michelle.

Michelle’s Foundation was also a major sponsor of the recently concluded A’Legends School Tour in Jamaica, donating 12 tablets to students from several schools. The foundation’s 14th Annual Back To School Drive in New Jersey is scheduled for August 30, 2025.

Born Michelle Gill in Georgetown, Guyana, MichelleG spent about six years living in Antigua before migrating to the United States at age eight. She has since built a multifaceted career covering outdoor media events, artist release parties, and becoming a media personality. Holding a PhD in Human Services, she teaches social work at three different U.S. universities and works as a Child Abuse Investigator with the government while running her nonprofit organization.

Amid the 2020 pandemic, MichelleG launched Get With The Fix (GWTF) Radio to address the needs of the Caribbean community and create a platform for her voice and for upcoming DJs. Today, she serves as CEO of GWTF Digital Caribbean Radio Station, managing around 25 DJs and personalities based in Jamaica and the U.S.
