Grenada’s Prime Minister to attend Global Citizenship conference 

Grenada’s Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell has embarked on an international trip, to attend a fundraising event organized by Grenadians in the diaspora in London, United Kingdom.

More than 600 Grenadians are set to attend the event which will take place on Saturday, November 4. 

Uniting for a Milestone Celebration

The Prime Minister is slated to give the feature address and is expected to reveal elaborate plans for the upcoming 50th anniversary of Grenada’s independence, and other topics relevant to Grenada and diaspora affairs.  

High-level delegation to strengthen diaspora relations

Joining the Prime Minister is a delegation of Grenadian dignitaries, including Joseph Andall, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Andrea St. Bernard, who holds the position of Ambassador and Special Envoy for Development and Investment, and Terry Forrester, the Ambassador for Diaspora Affairs. 

A new voice in the UK

The occasion will also serve as a platform for Rachér Croney, Grenada’s newly appointed High Commissioner to the UK, and the Court of St James’, who is set to deliver a keynote address. 

Prime Minister’s participation at Global Citizenship Conference

Following the London event, Prime Minister Mitchell will continue to Dubai to participate in the 17th Global Citizenship Conference. 

His keynote address will delve into the theme of “Attracting Global Citizens through Investment Migration- And why that is vital for the future.”

Interim leadership at home

During his overseas engagements, leadership duties will reside with Andy Williams, the Minister for Mobilisation, Implementation, and Transformation, who has been designated as the Acting Prime Minister. 

The Prime Minister’s return to Grenadian soil is scheduled for November 11, 2023, concluding his international advocacy and fundraising efforts.
