The SAFEE PLANES (Pilot Licenses to Attain New Elevations) program is designed to reduce the shortage of commercial pilots in the aviation industry while increasing the number of students engaged in aviation and STEM.
The program is dedicated to helping children stay in school, improve their academic performance and explore STEM education and career possibilities in the aviation industry.
SAFEE has awarded three scholarships to Florida Memorial University (FMU) pilot flight students to attain their Private Pilot’s license. These three students are: Cephas Pinder, Sebastian Aponte, and Devonte Rodney.
In addition, SAFEE will be awarding three new FMU students the same opportunity this summer. The students who will be awarded are Azel Ciriaco, Jalil Lee and Kyeundre Eckford.
