The City of Lauderhill and VISIT Lauderhill Welcome the West Indies and Bangladesh Cricket Teams

Cricket will be broadcasted worldwide this weekend from Lauderhill – The Cricket Capital of the United States – as the Cricket West Indies Team takes on the Bangladesh Team at the Central Broward Regional Park. The matches will be held on Saturday, August 4th and Sunday, August 5th at 8 pm. The two fast paced and exciting T-20 matches will be televised live while thousands will witness the two cricket powerhouses in person as they take it to the boundaries!

With the only accredited and lighted Cricket Stadium in North America, we copyrighted our City as the Cricket Capital of the Unites States. Many living in South Florida are from countries where cricket is one of the primary sports. In addition, bringing international cricket to Lauderhill attracts many fans to the City from around the world. As always, I am proud and look forward to watching top class cricket in Lauderhill,” says Lauderhill Mayor Kaplan, a long time cricket advocate.
