National Caribbean American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County will celebrate the annual observance of National Caribbean American Heritage Month with a NCAHM HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, tomorrow, Friday, June 8th and again on June 29th.

The goal is to provide Caribbean-Americans the resources they need to reduce the spread of HIV; including free testing, health education and the opportunities to get involved.

This awareness day is however a part of a larger drive to get Caribbean-Americans more involved in their overall health.

The free HIV and STD Testing and Outreach is set for June 8th at Caraf Gas Station, 13705 NW 7th Ave, Miami, FL 33168 from 3 – 7 p.m. and on June 29th at 1400 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135 from 6 – 10 p.m.
