The City of Sunrise’s Back to School Round-Up is set for today, Saturday, August 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Sunrise Civic Center (10610 West Oakland Park Boulevard). This free end-of-summer celebration is jam-packed with rides, games, music, food and fun. Representatives from Sunrise schools will be on hand to answer questions, and we’ll have a Pre-K corral with early-learning resources.
Best of all, the first 1,000 K-12 students to show proof of Sunrise residency will receive a free drawstring backpack filled with school supplies, as well as a grade-appropriate book. (Students must be accompanied by legal guardian. Driver’s license required as proof of residency.)
