Previously Yes Iyah bought out Proven’s 20 per cent stake in Dream Entertainment Limited and now they have since increased their stake, owning 21 per cent of the company. Yes Iyah is an investor in the entertainment and lifestyle sectors and its principals are Sean Shelton, Michael Banbury and Ryan Reid.

Executing as the biggest carnival band in Jamaica, Xodus had a successful season seeing high attendance rates at their soca events and fetes. This year the band had a total of 4,000 masqueraders on the road and was the only band to have all its costumes sold out three days prior to Road March 2023.

Just before Road March, Managing Director of Dream Entertainment, Scott Dunn, cited a potential $5 billion increase which would surpass pre-pandemic numbers.

“We are expecting to surpass 2019 numbers in terms of the number of international tourists that will be coming in- this year the economic boost should be in the region of about $5 billion dollars to what it was previously,” he had said.

Co-principal at Yes Iyah, Shelton says, the team is pleased and we are excited to see the results for Dream Weekend which will be held in August 2023. “Yes Iyah is very pleased with its investment in Dream Entertainment. The directors of Yes Iyah knew the decision to invest in Dream was a great one which would have yield term success. This year’s carnival was a success and Yes Iyah is looking forward to bigger and better Dream Weekend this year,” he said.

Already promotions have been underway for the highly anticipated event which will bring about 35,000 visitors to Jamaica for five days of premium events where all guests are seen as VIPs. The events include Celebrity Playground, Day Dreams, Yush, Wet N Wild, World Vibes, Mawnin After, Island Beats and Igloo.
