A person of interest has been arrested in connection with Monday’s attack on security guards at the Portmore Pines Plaza in St Catherine, Jamaica.
The incident left a security guard dead and two others injured.
A man was apprehended on Thursday in Hellshire in Portmore during an operation. Reports are that he was held with a firearm.
The police believe that the man has information that may be able to assist with their investigations.
Reports are that on Monday morning, gunmen shot members of the Berrylium security team who were delivering money to a Jamaica National (JN) automated teller machine (ATM).
The gunmen escaped with two bags containing the money from the guards.
One of the male guards was pronounced dead at hospital, while a female guard, who underwent emergency surgery was admitted.
The other male guard was treated and released.
