Important COVID-19 Vaccine Reminders from Broward County

Broward County has been partnering with the Florida Department of Health in Broward (DOH-Broward), Broward Sheriff’s Office and municipal police and fire rescue to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations and test collections at County park sites.

In observance of Easter, testing and vaccination sites that would normally be open on Sunday will be closed on Sunday, April 4. The Broward County COVID-19 hotline will also be closed on Easter Sunday and will reopen at 8AM Monday, April 5.

Park patrons are reminded that if you are planning to visit any Broward County park for recreational activity, be sure to check in at Broward.org/Parks to get the latest information about park operations before you go. Some parks and/or park services are closed to recreational use at times, due to testing and vaccination site activities.

COUNTY PARK TEST COLLECTION SITES

Two County park sites are serving as test collection sites:

  • Brian Piccolo Park in Cooper City
  • C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines

COUNTY PARK VACCINATION SITES

As Florida Governor Ron DeSantis expands the eligibility age for the vaccine, park site vaccination operations are also expanding. Six County parks have been designated public vaccination sites:

  • Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill
  • Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek
  • Tree Tops Park in Davie
  • Markham Park & Target Range in Sunrise – already a vaccination site, is undergoing a significant expansion of vaccination operations, effective Tuesday, April 6
  • Topeekeegee Yugnee (T.Y.) Park in Hollywood – formerly a closed vaccination site, is now a public vaccination site
  • Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach – will close as a test collection site on Thursday, April 1 and reopen as a vaccination site on Monday, April 5

A seventh County park, Reverend Samuel Delevoe Memorial Park in Fort Lauderdale, is operating as a closed vaccination site serving residents of the Broward Municipal Services District by appointment only.

For a complete list of public vaccination site options available, including hospital sites, grocery store and pharmacy sites and Florida Department of Emergency Management sites, visit GetVaccinated.Broward.org.
