Fort Lauderdale’s July 4th Celebration to Feature Fireworks Around the City

This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions on public gatherings, the annual Fort Lauderdale’s Independence Day Celebration won’t feature a massive fireworks show but instead will have four small fireworks show around the city.

The shows will take place at: Holiday Park, U.S. 1 and Sunrise Boulevard (18-minute show); City Hall, Andrews Avenue and NE 1 Street (18-minute show); Carter Park, Sunrise Boulevard and NW 16 Avenue (18-minute show); and the Beach Community Center, A1A and Oakland Park Boulevard (10-minute close proximity show).

The shows will not be open to spectators and no pedestrians or vehicles will be allowed access to the areas where the shows are located.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy the fireworks shows beginning at 9:00 p.m. from their backyards, front porches, patios, balconies or virtually on:
