Black-owned Firms Selected to Develop Phase II of Riviera Beach Marina Village

The newly found partnership entitled APD-Tezral will be a joint venture between APD Solutions based in Atlanta, and Tezral Partners based in West Palm Beach. Both firms are 100 percent minority-owned. The action returns Tony Brown of Tezral and former RBCRA Executive Director, to play a leading role in the redevelopment of Riviera Beach.  “As the other co-manager of this venture, Tezral Partners are pleased to be teamed with APD Solutions and we now have the opportunity to complete the work we started.”  Our proposal will complete the redevelopment and provide opportunities for the local community to invest, work as sub-contractors, and secure jobs for local residents from the success of our redevelopment efforts, said Brown.

Proposals for the development were initially submitted by each firm in July 2018. On May 1, 2019 RBCRA staff requested permission from the CRA board to collect a unified proposal from APD and Tezral. On July 22, 2019 APD-Tezral replied with a joint proposal, meeting all requirements.  “We are honored to have been selected as a result of a rigorous procurement process. With our local partner, Tezral Partners, we plan to make the Riviera Beach Marina Village a destination of choice that empowers community residents with economic opportunity.”, said Vaughn Irons CEO of APD Solutions.

The Marina Village Phase II state-of-the-art site will feature:

A 130 Room Hotel, 225,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space, including 56,000 sq. ft dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship and growing local businesses; up to 320 apartment units for local residents, 1,600 parking spaces, as well as various attractions and entertainment activities that will take place in Bicentennial Park.

The project is estimated to provide over 1300 local jobs, and create multi-generational wealth through equity ownership by local minority investors

APD Solutions Consulting (APDS) is an award-winning community and economic development firm providing services and strategies that impact distressed and underserved areas across the United States. Tezral Partners is a 100 percent minority-owned firm headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida and formed by T.
