Cricket/SFCA T-20 – Shouthshore defeat Tropics United by 92 runs

Southshore easily defeat Tropics United in last Sundays South Florida Cricket Alliance T-20 competition at John Stretch Park in Palm Beach.

Southshore Skipper Damion Rowe seemed to have made the correct call at the toss, taking first strike; as his team posted a formable total of 167 runs for 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Leading the charge was Rohan Ebanks with 80 runs, his knock consists of seven sixes and six fours, Bradley Chung was the next best contributor with 44 runs. The pair added 116 runs for the fall of the second wicket.

Bowling for Tropics, Marcel Graham took 4 wickets for 30 runs and Bert Davis 2 for 18.

In reply, Tropics United was skittled out for a mere 75 runs in 16.1 overs with Romain Bennett 10 runs, the only batsman to get into double figures.

The leading wicket taker for Southshore was Sean Richards 3 wickets for 4 runs, Michael Nembhard picked up 2 for 8 and Sylvester Hickey 2 for 16. Southshore won by 92 runs.

US Open will bowl off on Wednesday December 12, 2018 and the Grand Final on Sunday December 16, 2018 with 20 team from all over the U.S. which include international players like Abe de Villers, Ahmed Raza and Alzaz Cheema to name a few. There will also be a youth tournament.
