The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded the certification on July 29, 2025, recognizing the song’s surpassing of 500,000 units in sales and streaming equivalents in the U.S.

Released in March 2024 as part of Tyla’s self-titled debut album, “Jump” is a fusion of afrobeats, dancehall, and hip-hop, produced by Sammy SoSo. The song gained significant traction, charting on multiple Billboard charts, including the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart at #3 and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at #42. Its success was bolstered by viral dance trends on TikTok and a visually compelling music video directed by Nabil, which amassed over 43 million views on YouTube. The video showcased scenes from Johannesburg and Kingston, highlighting the song’s international appeal.

“Jump” has also achieved Gold certification in Brazil (20,000 units), Canada (40,000), and New Zealand (15,000), and is certified Silver in the UK (200,000 units). In South Africa, the song has been certified Platinum for sales exceeding 40,000 units.

This milestone marks a significant achievement in Skillibeng’s career, reflecting the growing global recognition of dancehall music and its artists.
