The accolade highlights the city’s forward-thinking Omni-Channel Call Center Solution, which streamlines access to municipal services for residents.

FLM President and Mayor of Daytona Beach Shores, Nancy Miller, applauded the award recipients, stating, “The Mayors Municipal Innovation Awards recognize the bold ideas and smart solutions that move our communities forward. This year’s winners are leading the way with projects that not only meet local needs but also inspire a higher standard of excellence for municipalities across the state.”

Mayor Michelle J. Gomez of Tamarac, who will accept the award during FLM’s Annual Membership/Business Meeting on August 13, said the city’s continued recognition is a proud milestone.

“It will be my pleasure to accept the Florida League of Mayors (FLM) Mayors Municipal Innovation Award in the Service Delivery Improvement category for the City’s Transforming Municipal Service Delivery project on August 13,” she shared. “While I’m honored to accept this recognition on behalf of the City, it means even more knowing that Tamarac is the only city to be recognized three years in a row since the FLM Awards Program began! We were honored in 2023 for the Tamarac Pet Pantry, in 2024 for the Shine Tamarac Campaign, and now in 2025 for the Omni-Channel Call Center Solution. Kudos to Team Tamarac!”

Tamarac, a culturally rich city with a large Caribbean population and at least three commissioners of Jamaican heritage, continues to distinguish itself with community-first initiatives and tech-forward governance.

The Mayors Municipal Innovation Awards, founded by and for Florida’s mayors, are designed to spotlight creative programs that enhance municipal governance and improve residents’ quality of life. This year’s awards will be presented during the Florida League of Cities’ Annual Conference, where other 2025 award recipients include:
