This August, Jamaican-American Logan Hall, a rising soccer phenom from Miramar, Florida, will officially step onto the field as part of Jacksonville University’s Division I men’s soccer program—the next exciting chapter in a journey defined by discipline, talent, and heart.
“I’m excited to start this new chapter at Jacksonville University and to keep giving back wherever I can,” Logan shared, with characteristic humility and determination.
For those who’ve watched him grow from a wide-eyed youth to a poised leader, this milestone feels both momentous and inevitable.
A foundation rooted in community and commitment
Born on September 5, 2006, and raised in Miramar, Logan’s love for the game began at the age of three through the Miramar Police Athletic League (PAL). It was there, on local fields under the Florida sun, that his passion ignited.
He went on to sharpen his abilities at Miramar United Football Club—now Fort Lauderdale United FC—before rising through the ranks of the South Florida Football Academy MLS Next Team, where he competed on the prestigious U17 and U19 squads. His skill and presence earned him back-to-back selections to the MLS All-Star Teams and a spot in the Capelli Cup in Denmark in 2023, where he showcased his talent on the international stage.
Leadership on the field, legacy in the classroom
Logan’s senior season at Pembroke Pines Charter High School (2024–2025) cemented his status as a leader and elite competitor. As team captain, he tallied 20 goals and 14 assists, a performance that garnered him recognition from both the Sun-Sentinel and the Miami Herald as Soccer Athlete of the Year.
Off the pitch, Logan has proven equally impressive. With a 4.1 GPA and a passion for History, he exemplifies the modern student-athlete—intellectually curious, hardworking, and purposeful.
Service beyond the spotlight
While accolades have followed Logan, his work beyond the field is perhaps even more telling of his character. Drawing from his family roots, he has spearheaded efforts to support underserved communities in Jamaica, his parents’ homeland.
Partnering with organizations such as Florida Atlantic University, the Vaz Preparatory School Past Students’ Association, and Kiwanis Jamaica, Logan helped distribute over 200 refurbished computers to schools in need—bridging digital divides and creating real educational impact.
Capping it off: Florida’s Gatorade Soccer Player of the Year
As a fitting close to his high school career, Logan was named the 2025 Gatorade Soccer Player of the Year for Florida—an honor that recognizes not only athletic excellence but also academic achievement and community leadership.
The award places Logan among the nation’s elite, but for those who know him, it’s simply further recognition of what he’s been building all along.
“I’m grateful for my community, my coaches, and my family who have supported me every step of the way,” Logan said. “None of this would be possible without them.”
