In a statement released Thursday, attorneys representing Ashley, Jaxx, and others dismissed the claims as “false and defamatory, and lacking any factual basis.” The legal team also cautioned the public against reposting or sharing the videos, citing potential harm to their clients.

In the videos, Skylaa’s mother accuses the entertainer and producer of coercing her 19-year-old daughter into non-consensual sexual activity. She claims Skylaa was misled into believing that Dutty Casamigos would help her career, and said the teen is now mentally unstable as a result of her involvement with the female deejay, her producer, and a popular female singer.

In one widely circulated clip, the woman states, “Unu made she let her boyfriend tell her how unu bussed her… unu madd her.” She also claims divine retribution will follow, declaring that the entertainer would “go dung.”

Following the videos’ spread on social media, Stalk Ashley and Jaxx engaged legal counsel and filed a formal police report. Their statement indicated that the allegations were defamatory and stressed that their clients would not “give in to any pressures, direct or indirect” to respond to public accusations they know to be false.

The statement added: “Any attempt made to improperly leverage unverified claims for material gain will be met with firm and lawful responses.”

Shortly after the release of the legal statement, a second video from Skylaa’s mother surfaced. In it, she apologized to the artiste and producer, acknowledging that the encounters between her daughter and the accused were consensual.

“My sincere apologies. I now understand that she wasn’t forced, she did it on her own,” the woman said, adding that she now believes her daughter may be struggling with mental health issues.
